Olympic High School

Olympic High School is one of three public high schools serving the students of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District.

Olympic High School, which offers programs designed for students who have struggled to stay in school, was named a Model Continuation High School by the State of California’s Superintendent Jack O’Connell, making it one of 27 schools to receive the honor. Continuation education is aimed at teenagers who are deemed at risk of not completing their education.

As the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District strives to provide exceptional arts education for all, the courses offered at Olympic High include:

Olympic High School is the continuation high school of the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District and was recently accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges for the first time in its 44 year history. Enrolled are 140 students who are behind in academic credits and thrive in a smaller learning environment, benefiting from a diverse curriculum and programs. Students have individualized educational programs with a strong emphasis on a standards-based curriculum, intensive guidance/counseling, and project-based learning.

With contributions through our Education Foundation from parents, teachers, staff, PTAs, businesses and community, SMMUSD will provide Olympic with these Vision for Student Success programs and resources in the 2014-15 school year.
